RPR wifi safety? Or all 3 resorts?

I have been reading about how hotel and public wifi is not safe. I never really use public wifi since I never bring my laptop out and about. Well this trip and a few past trips I bring my laptop to off load my camera pictures and videos to my laptop. Also the past trips I enjoy sitting on the lobby and reading the boards. Does anyone know how safe this is? I'm not going to check emails and personal banking, just web browsing. I have my iPhone for the email and personal stuff, not connecting through wifi though. What are you thought? What do you guys and gals do?

I think as long as you aren't purchasing anything online during that time or transmitting at top secret information, you are fine.

Thanks, I have heard its not the hotel thats the issue but, its people connected in the same area basically listening in on the network. But I guess that would mean there would be a thief in the lobby or surround area.

You never know these days cause the little granny across the lobby could the thief and you will not notice until either get home or try to use your card and they drained your account and I am same way I don't use wifi in public to veiw bank or credit card accounts only use iphone with wifi cut off

Thats what I'm thinking of doing. Use the iPhone if I need to do important stuff over 3G, use the laptop to surf the web and check in here.
