This will be our first trip to Universal.

I called RPR's front desk yesterday and was told that, with Loews' gold membership, I may be able to pay $35 to get an upgrade to their kids suite. However, they would not give me club level unless I pay up to almost $300 in total for each night.

They said that they only have 30 club rooms vs HRH has over 100 club rooms. HRH seems to say that they would upgrade me for $35 if a club room is available.

We would love to have club room access, with little kids (5 and 2), it is easy to have food and drink access.

For the chance that I might be upgraded to club level, I am leaning towards HRH, however, it seems that RPR's pool is much better for my little ones because of the interactive waterplay area.

Is this interactive area good for both my kids? They don't swim yet and the slide is out of the question for them at HRH.

I was told that the kids suite at RPR is over 600 sf, but it only has one bed and a pull out sofa. What type of set-up is this? Is it just a bigger room or what amenities does it have?

Thanks for any info. you can provide.

:D

luckytso,
Depending on how adventurous your five yr. old is (and how comfortable you'd feel about it ), he/she should be able to go down the pool slide at HRH. Our son went down the slide (lots of times) last year before he was even 3 yrs. old and loved it. My husband would go up to the top of the slide with him and I'd wait in the pool. Once, when I couldn't go to the pool with them, he would take our son up to the top of the slide and the lifeguard would wait until my husband got back down into the water, then he'd have our son slide down. I think your kids would enjoy either pool!

Thought I would put in my two cents worth about Club Level at HRH. Just got back yesterday and it was well worth the price we paid. Nice to come back from the parks and grab something cold to drink. During the day (after breakfast and before cocktails and hors d'oeuvres) they had soda and water with ice and either cold apple juice or lemonade to choose from. My family loved all the food in the morning and in the evening and the sweet treats they put out at 8:30pm.
