RPR Price April 2009

Hi,

Having decided that the cost of the Express Passes for the three of us would, based on Easter 2008 prices, only be marginally cheaper than a room at RPR, we have booked for one night 6th April 09.

However, having read a few of the threads, is $336 for a room excessive, bearing in mind that it is the first week of the UK Easter Holidays? Do the prices tend to come down once they are released for booking via the website?

Wow that is high but I've never stayed during holidays. I hope it does come down. Did you call to book? No dates for 2009 are available on the website.

Hi,

Yes - the booking was made over the phone. I did e-mail Universal but was told that the on-line bookings for 2009 were not being released until September. However, another source advised me to phone which I did and got the room.

I suspect that I may be calling back in the near future (or on-line) to check if there are cheaper prices, although the price compares favourably with buying three fastpasses for two days - at 2008 prices for the Monday/Tuesday before Easter, they were $50 each so $300 for the two days. With the hotel booking, you do get unlimited front of line access rather than one per ride.

Just keep checking online, hopefully a lower price will come in. Make sure you ask for any obstructed views, AAA, etc. Ask what deals there are available and then see if you have the requirements.

Do popular dates ever sell out by phone before they even become available online? I'd like to go over Prez. weekend. We usually go during off peak times so this is all new to me. (Ds will be in middle school and I'm trying to have him not miss any school.)

I wouldn't want to go unless we can stay onsite and not get gouged. Can't do like $400/nt.
