Ok, First some thanks to gschmerl for the suggestion to fax ahead the rooms you want. It was fantastic!

I got to the RPR at about noon knowing that we would probably have to wait for the room until about 4:00pm. The bellhop tells us that we should be able to get a room right away because there are about 200 ready. (sounds wonderful)... No one really on line so we get up front and after some confirmation, they tell us that our room is not ready... (huh?). Asked her about the upgrade since there are so many rooms available (I am a loews member). She says that the room we have is by special request and if we want, we can have an ocean view (upgrade) if we want. Decisions, Decision.. They tell me they cant tell me the room number but when I rattle off the ones I suggested, she told me that the room is 1733. YEAHHHH ! 7th floor and one of the ones I wanted. Family had a quick powow and decided to wait for room 1733. She said it might be ready by 2:00pm. Now what to do while waiting. After another family meeting, we decide to go to the pool because it will be only about 2 hours before we get the room and the kids will love the pool. We have 5 more days to enjoy the park. We had the suits in carry-on luggage and ready just in case. Pool was fantastic. kids are loving the pool. DS loves the boat in the middle. We call at about 2:00 and they say room is not ready. We have som Lunch poolside and relax. Some more time in the pool and by 3:00pm room is still not ready. We decide to check out the entire grounds and play some arcade as well. Finally at about 3:30 the room is ready. We go up and tell bellhop to send up our luggage. Get to room 1733 (everyone is right. Nice long walk from the elevator) Open the door and all 4 of us have our jaw drop... The view is incredible. We all agree this view beats out pool view anyday. Had dinner in the islands restaurant and Curious george and Wendy woodpecker was there. Food was good. Just relaxed after that because the one mistake we made is that we packed suits for the pool but did not pack lotion in the same bag. 3 hours in the sun and pool and all of us were fried. (This is about the only bad thing on the trip.)

Here are the views from the room

hftmrock,
I'm soooooo glad you liked the view from your room. I would have hated to recommend a room to you and then have you wind up hating it!! Looking at your pictures brought back great memories! You're right, who wants to look at the pool when you can view the parks!!

took over 100 pictures. maybe I will include some in the rest of my story. It was a blast and kept on saying thank you to you. Was really nice to go back to the room to that view every night!

Thats a great room with a great view! Worth the wait! When you look down you see the water taxi route. Disney would call it a water view.
Got to be careful of that Florida sun.

Awesome views. That's what we had when we stayed there. We just love that resort.

Thanks for sharing!

Can't wait to read more!

Awesome view! I love Tower One! Off to read about the rest of your trip.
