Our vacation started out at the Royal Pacific Resort for 3 nights, Club floor, and then on to WDW to meet my younger sister's family for 5 nights at the Yacht Club. We made it to the Royal Pacific, but there was a death in my immeditate family and we returned home on Sunday, August 25th. My older sister's husband died suddenly and we canceled the rest of our vacation and retunred home. I finally decided to write a little report on our thoughts about RPR and Universal, our very first vist.
The resort itself was lovely, laid out very nicely. The pool was wonderful and my boys really enjoyed it. Our room was in building 3, room number 3712, it nice and new. The room faced the pool and you could see part of Universal Studios too. The Club lounge was excellent and the food (we mostly had breakfast there) was fine for us. I had gotten the room for $139 a night so I really couldn't complain about anything. They delivered cookies and milk to our room about an hour after we arrived without my asking for it once. I wasn't going to ask because I had read that if you got a Fan Club rate, you were not entitled to this perk. We felt the rooms were small for the four of us, my sons are 13 and 16. If we were to stay there again, I would definitely get two rooms with teens. The blinking green light above the bed was annoying but the second night I used a bit of paper and some tape and covered it up. The a/c worked fine, the paper over the blinking green light (censor) made the a/c think we were in the room so it kept cool all night. I'm not a fan of this new censor idea at all. We didn't eat at the resort because we had rented a car and ventured out most of the time. We did eat lunch in the park and every place was good. We didn't have any fire alarms go off while we were there as other's reported and very little noise at night. All in all I very much enjoyed our stay at the Royal Pacific Resort and would recommend it, the front of the line can't be beat!!
