Staying for the first time at RPH in a standard room. Can anyone tell me if there is a specific room or rooms I should request. Proximity to the pool, transportation etc that might make one preferable over the other. Any suggestions?

I know there is a thread about this subject but I can't find it. I was looking for it also. Maybe some kind soul who has better 'searching' abilities will post it below for the both of us. :wizard:

I don't know the thread but for the towers if you like pets or smoke then tower 2 is where they have smoking rooms and the pet rooms, I stay away from that tower myself :)

Tower 3 is the closest to the boats and is close to the pool area as well as the game room and Emerils, Tower 1 is close to the resturants, the walking trail to the parks and then easy access to the kiddie area for the pool. There is also a laundry facility in tower 1 as well.

We have had great views in both Tower 1 and 3, Tower 3 we were on the 4th floor and had an obstructed view (big tree) of the lagoon and the pool but it was still very pretty. In Tower 1 we had a really nice view of the pool, I think we were on the 3rd floor. We usually book a standard room but usually with the AP we get upgraded to the pool view ones, I was surprised we did last time since it was during the Harry Potter Opening week but it was a nice surprise.

This thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=616763&page=31 goes back as far as 2004 and is where you can post your Tower #, Room #, Room Type and description of the view for the Royal Pacific Resort.

I've tried looking through it but get distracted and haven't finished yet. I can't decide if I just want to wing it and get the room that I get or if I want to request a specific one. We are not smokers and I'm not really a dog fan so Tower #2 doesn't sound like a good option.
