We have the RPH Club level room booked at the great price of $139/night for August. We will be 3 adults and two 10 year olds. After reading about the size of the RPH rooms, I became concerned about a very tight squeeze for the 5 of us. I can get the HRH CLub level for $209/night. My DH wants me to switch to the HRH because their rooms are 30 sq. ft. bigger. My question is will the 30 sq. ft. make that much of a difference for $70/night for the length of our stay? (As you can tell, I'm more budget conscious than my DH.) Any thoughts? Thanks!

IMHO, I'd saved the extra $70/night and stay at the RPH. I'm never in my room that often anyway. But you didn't say how long you are staying, that could make a difference, being cramped for 3 days vs. 7 days.

We'll be there 3 nights. We spend morning and nights at the park and afternoons at the resort. I'm thinking the lounge will give us extra space to spread out if needed. Any other thoughts? Thanks!

I am quite biased since I've never tried HRH but we LOVED RPH club. The lounge is open all day with TV, couches, free cold drinks etc...We were treated wonderfully there. They really make an effort to get to know you in the lounge. I did not feel the room was crowded for my five (which included smaller people, I admit 2Adults,3kids, 10,8, and 4) So...I wouldn't change a thing. The whole resort was just amazing. It beat anything we've seen, even in Hawaii for tropical decor. Have a great time!

I'm not sure what you mean by "Club". Are you sure you don't mean "Deluxe Room" which is a larger room with a bigger seating area?

Y'see I just stayed at HRH on the Club Level, the 7th floor, where you get free continental breakfast, beverages all day, snack in the evening, and cookies and milk at bed time and a bunch of other nice perks.

I am now at PBH which no longer has a Club Level program (which I had enjoyed on an earlier stay). So my r4ecommendation would be to doublecheck with the hotel(s) to make sure you're not disappointed.

If you want the Club Level perks, then HRH is the way to go. (Although I haven't been in RPR yet. That's next!)

BTW, my PBH bay view room is GORGEOUS! And the ambiance at PBH is much, much quieter than at HRH (if that's important to you). Word is that availability at PBH for July and August is good, but almost non-existent at HRH.

Keep in mind, that after taxes, that $70 difference is closer to $80 each night. Having stayed at all three of the Loews Hotels, I would take Hard Rock all things being equal. But it's not equal. That $80 over a three night stay is $240, and despite Royal Pacific's shortcomings you get the same in-park perks.

So, give RPH a shot. Treat yourself elsewhere.
