We are staying at the royal palms. What is the pool like?
How far can is World Center?
Can we use the pool there?

Yes, you can use the main pool at the Marriott World Center. There's a shuttle that runs back and forth to the Marriott World Center complex. I walked it a few times (I like to walk for exercise) and it took me about 12 to 15 minutes to walk it.

The Royal Palms pool is a nice medium sized pool. There's also a smaller pool across the road at Imperial Palms. We really enjoyed our stay at Marriott's Imperial Palms. All the Palm Marriott vacation clubs have been refurbished and are very nice inside.

Have a fun trip.

How funny same thing happened to me i was at the crappy royal palm and tried to go use the loews pool but someone came to my lounge chair and tossed me even tough i had bough a drink so be prepared to be embarrassed. the rate difference at those two hotels is quite alot.

are you talking about Royal PACIFIC? This is Royal Palm, it's a Marriott condo very close to Disney.

The pool at RP is towards the center of the two resorts (Imperial/Royal). It is really shared between them. The Imperial also has its own dedicated pool. Royal does not. So, be VERY careful where they put you. You could end up at the end of RP which is near the road and even a walk to the pool located there. The RP/IP pool is very quiet. If that is what you want then you'll be happy. The world pool is amazing but it is a pain to get to with the shuttle.

Ok
We leave next week
I am now wondering if Cypress Harbor is abtter spot.
It will be 300 more for 4 days is it worth it.
I know I should not have checked but I did.

While I think that Cypress Harbour is a much nicer resort, personally I wouldn't spend an extra $300 to stay there over Royal Palms. Royal Palms is a nice little resort that has a very good location in respect to getting to Disney. It is about a mile from RP to the World Center Hotel pool area but they do have a resort shuttle that you can take if that distance isn't to your liking. If it were me and there wasn't any price difference then I'd choose Cypress Harbour but for a $75 or $100/night difference I'd be very happy at Royal Palms.

Hmm, IMHO, the answer to your question depends on your kids and your schedule. We also like Cypress Harbor much better. It is a fantastic resort. If you have kids and plan to stay at the resort for at least a day then i might think about doing it. There is so much to do at Cypress Harbor for kids of all ages. If you are "parking it" then I agree with Dick.

We plan on staying pool side for a good amount of time. Not doing too many parks.
Was thinking of walking up to World pool.
Is there a pool bar or resturant at RP?
Kids are 10 and 13 and love being in the water.
Wife and I like to relax and have afew adult beverages .

There's a very small resort store inside the check-in building that's next to the Royal Palms pool but I'm not sure if they have a bar or bar/grille there (I almost think not). However there are plenty of options at the hotel including a bar that's a few steps up above the pool level.

The more you tell us the more I would recommend the switch to Cypress Harbor. Both of the pools have pool-side bars. The main pool has a very nice bar with small tables and TVs. They also have a small market with a window for food orders (pizza) right next to the main pool. Walking up to the World pool is a pain in the rear as is waiting for the shuttle. Once there you have to wait for a waiter to take your drink orders if you want to stay pool-side or walk to the food court which is close but still a walk. Everything is right there at CH. Great layout, one of the reasons we like it so much.

You have now swung my feelings to the outher side.
What are the pools like at Cypress.
Kids activities?
My Son would go there just for the Pizza.

You will love it.

There are three pools, the main pool, the island pool, and the quiet pool. Check out the resort web site for photos. the main pool has the Pizza hut right there. You can order Pizza and go back to your seat and then go pick it up. It is just a few steps away. They have other things as well like ice cream.

Tons of kids activities. They have an entire activity center with basket ball, a small golf course, shuffle board, many origanized events and my son's favorite, remote control car racing. He's 19 now but he loved this. You could buy and build your car and then race it. They have a small lake/big pond and you can rent pedal boats. they have music at the pool, and the place is beautiful. See if you can get one of the builds right next to the pools. Our favorite was building 51, right next to the main pool. The island pool has a beach. They do fishing in the pond. There is a sauna, tennis, you cen rent bikes and ride around the resort. It is not too big or too small.

It's an older resort but Marriott has remodeled most of the rooms if not all and the landscaping is now fully matured and looks fantastic. We've been to many of the resorts and CH is by far the most beautiful.

Ok cancelled Raoyal Palms nd going to Cypress Harbor.Seems like there is more activity there. Also lots of mixed reviews for Royal Palms.Includung several commenting on the palce being dirty.

Have a great time. Check out the building map and see where you would like to be located. Then call them a week before you get there and make your request. Be sure to tell us how you make out.
