We have a RGR booked at POR for Nov with FDing  anyone that has stayed there...is it worth it? Did you love it? I hae looked at the pics but I want some opinions please :goodvibes

I had a friend stay there with 2 daughters and they loved it!! If you've got girls, they will love it! I think it's totally worth it.

Have a great trip!

"Worth it" is a 110% value judgement and will vary from person to person.
It is an upcharge of about $30 over the standard mansion room, but only about $5/night over a preferred room in AB. Oak Manor gives you an added bonus of being relatively close to the main building (just across the bridge). I suppose it all boils down to just how much your DDs will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the lights in the headboard and the themed upholstery and linens.

Personally, I think the novelty would wear off after the first day and then they'd barely even notice. But that's just me. I like the decor in the regular rooms just fine, especially since they've all just been refurbed.

V LOVED it. what I loved more was our very close proximity to the bridge!

Since we are only staying one night before moving to the Beach Club, we decided it was "worth it". We are flying in somewhat late and didn't want to risk a long walk to our room. We knew we were going to do POR or POFQ for the boat to DTD since that is where we plan to start our first day. I think my family will like the novelty of it for one night.

Our DD's loved the room and they still talk about it 4 months later:) We had a routine every night right before going to sleep, we would lay in bed facing the headboards and our DDs would each push the buttons at the same time and we would watch the fireworks. We did this for 7 nights and it never got old. They loved the genie lamp faucets and all the photos on the wall. As a PP noted it is only $5 extra over a preferred AB location and we liked the Oaks Manor location better because we got to see the river every day, plus a quiet pool is right there and that is also where they have the nightly movies.
