Royal Caribbean review - Exchange option

I did this because they are superior in every way other than rooms. DVC has a leg up with nicer rooms and washer/dryer in unit. Food, service, amnenities, complementary offerings all go to Royal Resorts. Low dues also.
I would concur that in many ways the Royals are superior to DVC resorts.

The maids are officially in tipped positions there and one is actually instructed that you should tip the maids much like on a cruise ship.

Thanks.

They instructed us through in room signs and the check in/out materials to tip $3 per day for the 2 bedroom unit. They have a locked box in the lobby for maid tips.

I tipped the maid directly a couple of dollars and then supplemented that in the pooled tip box.

Fun stuff:

We took our 5 year ols son parasailing and he loved it. He got two rides one with each of us. He said he wanted to live up there. Really a blast to see his face and enjoy the views.

We took him to JB's Margaritaville one night for the kids show. The show was one of the best I've seen. The kids and parents loved it. They had magicians, clowns, acrobats, dancers, etc. They bussed you there for $3 per person. Food stinks there but the show was worth it.

My son also got two scuba lessons in the pool. He did awesome! The kid is a champ with anything athletic or requiring coordination.

Snorkeling was also tons of fun. He just loved it.

All in all just a great trip!!!
