Roy/Minnie statue to be temporarily removed from MK

During my Keys to the Kingdom tour on 2/7, the tour guide said the Roy and Minnie statue at the front of MK will be removed temporarily. The fall hurricanes and winter have been hard on it, so it will be removed for a few weeks for cleaning and touch ups.

Yep that’s pretty routine. They will remove it to refurb it from time to time.

This iconic piece gets moved around like a used handbag - 12 years running.
Just us - Roy has been insulted for a VERY long time.... and this should end.

Does this one have to get refurbedmore than Walt &Mickey? Or do they have a backup for that one that they put out during refurbs? Seems like the maintenance should be similar.

This one is out for people to touch and sit next too. Walt and Mickey don’t have the wear and tear of that.
