Looking at the schedule you are 15 weeks from the Remix Challenge and then 15 weeks from that to the Hot Chocolate 15K. I would say that it doesn't get any more perfect than that for spacing your "A" races out. The key for the 5K/10K back-to-back challenge is that you are going to want to incorporate more back-to-back days in your training. Ideally you would run on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday would be an EA pace and Sunday at Long Run. So, I would envision you would want to make a plan based around the Remix and Hot Chocolate which would each be 15 week cycles. If you want to get faster we might be able to sneak in some speed workouts earlier in the schedule (possibly on Tuesday if we add a 4th day or as a replacement for Thursday if keeping with 3 days in the beginning of the cycle). Ideally, your ratio of hard/easy doesn't deviate too much from 20/80. Otherwise, you'll start to put yourself at risk for overtraining and injury.
All of this means I probably wouldn't focus too much on the upcoming 10K in terms of the current cycle but rather than Remix Challenge. The 10K will now be viewed as a "B" race or fun run. Let me know what you come up with for the cycle of 4/3/16 to 7/17/16. I wouldn't worry about the cycle after that just yet.
