I received my package from Sandra this morning. Included was a cherry nut cake recipe, brownie mix in a christmas mit with a little egg stirer, and the cutest disney window clings - can't wait to put them on my front door! Also a really cute polar bear card which is hanging in my cubicle at work next to my poster of a polar bear (I work for Nissan, specifically the LEAF and the polar bear is the mascot for the car). Really liked the answers to my questions too. WL sounds like fun. I also long to go to Disneyland one day.

It was waiting for me when I arrived home on Wednesday. I received a very lovely card and note regarding Sandy's Christmas. Sandy sent me a recipe for Cherry Pecan Cake (sounds like a fruitcake/nut bread). I am planning to make a fruit cake and Christmas zucchini bread this weekend; I will have to try this one, too.

I also received Mickey, Minnie and Pluto Christmas window clings (but they are presently clinging to my refrigerator) and a Christmas oven mitt and brownie mix from Target. My daughter and I were looking at these a couple weeks ago.

(Wish I could figure out the multi-quote thingy.) So glad you ladies liked your treats! Making macaroons at the moment to take down to my in-laws this weekend. I just have to keep from eating them! They're so yummy!

Got my letter/package from Monica. You silly girl - you sent me my letter back. Is that some sort of hint?? . Mine is ready to go out on Monday. Want to be sure about the postage.

Hmmm.......I don't remember putting your letter back in, but then again, my two DSs love to stuff things into packages. I mailed something to my brother, and he called me and asked why I sent him a crayon and a half eaten PopTart. Hopefully you also rec'd my letter, the answers to your questions, the recipe, and the twist.

Mine was sent out this morning. I sent my DH to the post office and he didn't get a DC#. He did send it priority mail and the P.O. said it should be there by friday.
Also, after I had packaged up the box I realized I forgot to put in the card which also has the recipe in it. So instead of opening the box I just taped the card to the bottom of the box. Hope everything gets there ok.

A participant had asked me if I will be hosting another round.....who here would be interested? If so, it would be another 3 month round for the months of Feb., March, and April. If so, I will start sign ups now, so that everyone can get a head start with some info. in Jan. But, you may have the same pen pals as before if we do not get any or many new participants-(this will vary depending on who signs up). Anyone interested? If there is an interest, I will put it together.

Hi! Received my letter/twist from Cindy today! I got a lovely card telling about her Christmas plans, a recipe for a Pumpkin Cake Roll, and Christmas window clings. The penguin is so cute, and up on our sliding glass door. DD noticed it first thing when she came in. She's also very interested in making the Pumpkin Roll. She loves trying/cooking new things. Perhaps she'll be a chef someday! Oh, and of course, answers to the questions I sent her. Thanks Cindy!

Hi All! Got home from a baby funeral today (very sad) and found a package from Carrie on my front porch. What a wonderful way to turn the day around. It was like opening a stocking! Christmas straws, erasers, a magic towel and a dish towel. So much fun! And Yes, the card/letter was still taped on the bottom of the box! Thanks so much the recipe. I'm pretty sure I've had corn pudding in the past, and I liked it very much, but I haven't had it since. Just one more thing to try!

I ordered my last two gifts yesterday. So I'm officially done with my shopping. Unless you count all the food I need to buy for Christmas dinner.
