Roster oven ? porcelin vs stainless steel

looking at roasting ovens. I've been looking online and instores. Now Dh is even looking up info-lol! So I've read Nesco is the best roasting oven but Oster seems to be available in the stores but i might buy online.

my question is which is better procelin or stainless steel on the inside????

which one wont cause food to stick
which one wont peel

any other advice aprreciated thanks

oh dh just mentioned the nonstick inside. so I'm totally lost-lol!

I don't have stainless steel inserts in my roasters, nor does my mother. Certainly, the porcelain will stick, but not any worse than a crock. A good soak and it comes clean. What i have learned to do is line the insert with aluminum foil. Now all I have to do is take the foil out, give the insert a quick wipe down (with soap and water) and it is like new again. We have never experienced peeling.

Nesco is not necessarily the best. They were just the original. Of the roasters my mother, friend and I have, different brands, no one brand is better (my opinion). Never had a problem with any of them, and we are talking over 35 years of use.

Lot's of good info about the roasters on the cooking board. I bumped a 2009 thread that was very helpful, with both cooking and purchase tips. I love mine! I bought the Hamilton Beach.

Thanks for the info. I'm noticing the nesco is a lot more $$$. My Dh's gma uses an oster and food always comes out good. My MIL just bought a hamiltion beach and she said she's happy.
Is your the regualr or does Hamilton beach come with different insert types like stainless steel, procelin etc. Walmart has a deal if you buy with their creditcard no payment for 6 months so maybe i will order online.

Dh says go for the 22qt which is good for our big parties but whats a good size for a family of 3 (dh, me and dd12) With 6 months deal I might be able to buy two one 22qt and a smaller one

Mine is 22 qts and porcelain. Holds up a 22lb Turkey. Doesn't have the inserts. Sorry not sure about the smaller ones.
