Hi all:thumbsup2,

I'm doing a solo trip this November and I would like to stay at the Rosen Shingle. I won't have the use of a car, but was wondering how easy it would be for me to get to the parks and malls etc.

Does anyone know if there are any buses i-trolley/Lynx which I will be able to use to get out and about in from this hotel.

If anyone has stayed at this hotel I would love to hear your experiences good or bad.

Thanking you in advance

I don't know anything about this hotel but seen some good rates recently. If you post you dates and best price you have found I will look for a better rate.

Thanks Wayne.

My dates are 4/11/11 to 18/11/11, the cheapest price I've found is £1464 through Kenwood Travel. The price includes flight and hotel.

The other option I have is going to the Rosen Inn Pointe or the Rosen Centre on i-drive.

Flight with VA is £491 or if you have 2,000 miles to use it bring it down £60
Total fare GBP 431.30 per adult + 2,000 miles per adult

Hotel, struggling with Shingle Creek, for some reason it has limited availablity for 3 nights is it a US holiday?(middle Sat, Sun & Mon) Can get the 1st week for £402 so I was aiming for a price just under £1300 (less with Miles and Money) but with those 3 days at high price its working out more than Kenwood.
Can get Rosen Plaza or Rosen Centre around £50-57/night £700-800 +flight but Shingle is expensive (looks a nice hotel though)

Hope Kenwood honour the price of you decide to go with it.

Have you looked at Trip advisor, some need to be taken with a pinch of salt but better than nothing usually, I had a quick look and parking seems to be main gripe, $12/day. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...sen_Shingle_Creek_Resort-Orlando_Florida.html

Think there are some photos in the hotel pictures sticky as posted by UKDeb who has stayed there.

There is an hourly Lynx bus #58 from the hotel which runs to Canadian Court via I-Drive near the Orange Convention Centre. It runs until early evening, then a few late trips (around 22:00-23:00). You can change at Canadian Court to the Lynx #111 to get to Downtown Disney or the Transportation and Ticketing Centre, or to the Florida Mall in the opposite direction. From the TTC, you can catch the monorail to EPCOT or Disney Buses to HS and AK.

To get to Seaworld or Premium Outlets, alight on I-Drive and catch a Lynx #8 or the I-Ride Trolley.

HTH.
