Rose Petal from My Girl Princess Party?

Who is this Rose Petal I keep reading about in the My Girl Princess Tea Party? Is she someone from the actual story of Sleeping Beauty, or is she just a storyteller at the tea party? I am going to the tea party in March with my DM and DD(5) and I would like to know about Rose Petal.

Rose Petal is the hostess for the tea party. Sleeping Beauty is only at the party for a short time. Rose Petal guides everyone through the entire party. She is wonderful. I don't recall her from the Sleeping Beauty movie, but it's been years since I've seen it. She does tell a story during the tea party about how she comes to know Sleeping Beauty.

I watched Sleeping Beauty recently, so I can tell you that there is no character called Rose Petal in the movie.

There is no "Rose Petal" fom sleeping beauty, but Aurora is called Rose while she lives with the 3 fairies, until her 16th birthday

Has anyone ever attended the princess tea party with little boys? We are going to do it with 3 girls (6, turning 5 that day and a 5 month old). The girls will enjoy it, but will our son (2 1/2)?
