Rose Dizon as your floral planner?

Can anyone give a review if they worked with Rose Dizon, I was hoping for Laura Kidd but no luck.

Did she do what you want, were you happy?

Photos would be super helpful!!!

I am working with Rose currently, she is so great! She is willing to do almost anything and makes great suggestions when I dont know what to do. I went in knowing a theme and she came up with great centerpieces, and I knew exactly what I wanted for my bouquet and she was like "sure!" She makes suggestions but in the end its completely your decision of what you want. She sent me examples of what they can do and I used those a basis for what I wanted and changed them to exactly what I want.

REALLY busy tho, if you need to talk to her you need to make an appt.
My suggestion is as soon as she sends you the BEO make an appt thru her assistant. It'll take at least a couple of days for her to be able to talk to you. In the mean time you will reviewed your floral BEO and email her all your questions.

I do most of the planning through emails. I send her a bunch of pictures of colors and centerpieces and she is able to create what I had in mind to fit the budget I am comfortable with.
She's very sweet and patient.

I should be able to post pictures in a month and a half or so

We are currently working with Rose as well. She is extremely creative! I gave her an idea for a centerpiece and she made it 100 times better. I can't wait to see what it actually turns out like at the wedding!

How did you find out who your floral planner is already? I haven't heard from my planner in almost a week now. I asked her a question by email last Thursday and I've gotten no response. Tomorrow, I call her assistant. I have heard nothing about my floral planner though. We have a PS in May and I'm gathering things to bring.

You're florist is assigned to you at your planning session. You just get all your ideas together and bring it with you to the PS. You'll meet with the florist and start putting everything together. HTH!

THanks for the info. That's how I thought it would be, so I was confused when Skylarr said she had her floral planner at 9 months out. THanks for the answer.

BTW We will be in Disney the day you get married! It's a good day, that was my Granny's birthday! I hope to see you in the World!

Here are the pix I gave her for my bouquet. I said I wanted the flowers like the first picture and the handle like the orange bouquet in the second picture, only turquoise. I also taped a piece of turquoise ribbon to the inspiration pic I left her.

The only reason I know is because I emailed my planner requesting a site visit after our tasting and then I said something like "I will be meeting with Laura Kidd from floral too, right?" and she answered me back saying I will be meeting with Rose.

I saw some other girls knew what time their floral meeting was and I didn't know when I was and I wanted to make sure they had me scheduled for everything because my planning session confirmation only stated my tasting. (Does this make sense lol?)

That makes total sense! I know I am scheduled to have my tasting at 9:30am on the 27th, then back to Franck's for planning until 1:00 I think. I have yet to call Brandye this morning. It's on my to do list.

Well good luck with Rose. It seems as if she is quite busy, but very good. I hope you will be pleased with her work.

Had to jump in and say - do not plan on eating anything else the day of your planning session and tasting - we cancelled ADR's because by dinner we still weren't hungry between the cake samples (pretty small) and the tasting. There were 4 of us and they made enough food for 10 people at least, maybe closer to 20 with all of the different choices!

I had Rose as well. I found her okay, but not as wonderful as the rest of the staff I got to work with. When I wanted rose petals up the isle of SBP she kept insisting they would blow away and told me I couldn't do it. I said I had seen pictures, I really wanted them, and if they blew away then that was my fault. She still pushed for not having them, luckily I pushed back and got them. They were just fine and didn't blow anywhere.

I loved my bouquet (inspiration and actual bouquet below) but was not really happy with the BM's flowers. She knew I was using them as centerpieces and I had asked to make them fuller. But they really didn't look worth the amount I paid for them at all.

This is high-larious! I had the same problem, but it was everyone I spoke to at DFTW insisting the petals would blow away. They didn't. I was also told that the Attic was a million-mile death march from the BoardWalk Inn lobby and that I could potentially have a Segway tour hotrodding through the back of my ceremony site.

None of this stuff happened - Disney just wants to be dang sure you know it could happen! It's sort of a Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook kinda thing...
