We have ADR's for 7:30 when were in Epcot for dinner. What is the chance of us getting a outside table to watch Illuminations?? Also I had heard that if you can't get a seat they let the patrons inside dining go outside and watch Illuminations??? We have never eaten here and just switched ADR's from Teppen Edo because they haven't signed up for the DDP yet and I didn't want to take a chance on not getting a dinner ADR. This also was our 2nd choice after TE. The food looks good and DH is Scottish and can't wait to eat Bangers and Mash... Thanks everyone inadvance for the help.:)

My wife and I believe that 7:30pm should be perfect if you get a table outside at Rose & Crown. We suggest that when you check in for your reservation to ask for an outside table. There is no guarantee, but it wouldn't hear to ask. We were fortunate enough a couple of years ago to get outside seating at 7pm and we told by the waitress to take our time which allowed us to see Illuminations from our table. It probably helped that they were not full that night.

Have fun on your trip. It appears that we will be there the same time you will be in March '08.

We had a table outside but our view was partially blocked by an overhanging awning (or something like that --it was in 2005 and I can't remember what the issue was). We of course didn't realize we didn't have a full view until the show started. In any case, we were not allowed to move.

Too much hassle---to get an outside table, and then to fend off all the looky-lous who *didn't* get an outside table, but come outside anyway.

I had the same problem - our view was blocked by an awning. Very disappointing!

The view, if you get an outside table, isn't perfect. You miss the higher fireworks.

Also, if you DO get an inside table they may move you to the garden to the left of the restaurant. Years ago I stood behind 6ft plus gentlemen who's head came just up the the branch's. My view was completely blocked and I was holding my DD around 4 yrs old so she might see. The wind often blows in that directions and although we couldn't see a thing, we did smell the sulfur and got dusted with ash.

We didn't eat at the Rose and Crown over Thanksgiving weekend but there was a sign outside at the check in podium that said dinner seating would be restricted to two hours so that all patrons could be served in a timely manner. I don't know if that was just for Thanksgiving weekend or if that's something new to cut down on people who make a reservation for dinner and then stay for more than two hours in order to watch Illuminations. Just an FYI with no actual experience at the restaurant for doing this.

We have a 7:20 reservation at this restaurant in January. I'm not particularly interested in sitting on the patio in January but I'd love to be able to walk out to see the fireworks if that's possible. Is there a special area for this? I absolutely do not want to intrude on anyone's outside table. (I can't imagine anyone doing this!) To tell the truth we're dining here mainly for the pudding and the beer samplers :rolleyes1 but if we have the chance to watch the fireworks I'd love to do that!

Thanks everyone who responded. I will just check when we go for our ADR. I do have short kids so hopefully if we do get a outside seat it won't be blocked by bushes. This is my oldest son's favourite night show. We have never missed it. I can't wait to try the fish & chips.:cheer2: :cheer2:
