rose bushes that think they own the yard

you should see my husband go......we are( well he is) chopping away

at these old fashion rose bushes that go all over the place...they are the climbing roses....very pretty but they
took over the whole back corner...over the double purple french lilac tree....and over the blueberries.....so OUT IT
GOES.....we also have another one in another corner of the yard that goes over my neighbors side bld....so that is
out of here too....these rose bushes are really huge....this one is to close to my neighbors and also to close to the
cherry tree number two....yes we have numbered the trees....my husband looks at these bushes and they send
out thorns out to him....he is always bleeding......so AWAY with the rose bushes....hehehe......also we had to go
up and completely stip the cherry trees of all the dead cherries and fungus .....or else we would lose the crop for
next year.....these are good cherries but to much work.....I mean for my dear husband of course.....

What a nice DH you have Pumba, braving shooting thorns, bleeding, chopping, dealing with fungi, all to keep things healthy and looking great!

Our neighbours had some huge climbers, glorious looking bushes. I was trying to train the branches that arched over our fence, but a tree they planted a few years ago casts too much shade now, and that part of the bush has died.

Did your bushes look anything like these, amazing!!

You are killing them! Just prune them way back! Such prolific plants are KEEPERS in my books!

I know... I know... make room for something better. (sigh)
