We had dinner at the Rose and Crown last week on our trip. It was GREAT.
We decided to eat there for a couple of reasons - #1 we wanted to try a new restaurant in the World Showcase and #2 we wanted to watch Illuminations from a different spot and we heard that the view from this restaurant was the best.
Anyway to make a long story short - we had dinner there. Our reservations were for 8:00 pm. Not only was the food very good but the best part was they asked my DD (3) to start Illuminations!! They told her Mickey Mouse could not make it and he needed her help. Boy wa she excited (and so were the rest of us). This added pixie dust to our night. At 9:25 pm they invited us down to a table outside and gave DD a wand - it lit up starting with a bottom ring toward the handle and gradually went up and when the last ring was on the wand the next one was the first firework for Illuminations!! Boy was that moment something!! They told her how to move the wand and with each different movement the fireworks would go off - it really looked like she was the one choreographing the fireworks!!
She received a certificate stating that she started Illuminations!!
It was wonderful and something we will never forget!!
