I know there have been lots of questions on the topic but I was reading on another board that as of this summer, they are no longer taking requests to be seated outside, you're just seated at the first available table but that no matter what time you dine you can return to the restaurant to watch Illuminations from there. I find it a little hard to believe that they would have room for that many people, does anyone have recent experience there for how they're handling Illuminations viewing?

I've not really heard of them offering to allow guests that have dined at Rose & Crown earlier in the evening and finished their meal to return to the viewing area later on (we've never been offered this, though we don't usually eat early). I've always heard that the viewing area is for guests that are currently dining at the R&C but are seated at tables without a view of the show. Whenever I've been there our server (or one of the servers/hosts/hostess) escorted us down to the viewing area and the CM at the entrance lets us in.
