We are looking for another place to eat in Epcot. We already have adrs at Tutto Italia and we ate at San Angel Inn last year so we are thinking Rose and Crown. I saw a post earlier of someone saying if you eat there to time it so you can watch Illuminations, so here is my questions:

1. What time is best to shoot for so we are still there and not finished eating by 9:00?

2. Is there just seating outside or inside too?

Thanks for any info!

That's the problem Kimi. There are seats inside and outside, and they aren't going to reserve an outside table for you because everyone is asking for the same thing. You risk reserving a table and sitting inside while Illuminations is going on.

My advice is to hit Rose and Crown for an "anytime meal." They usually have some seating flexibility outside of peak hours, and it is real nice to sit outside along the water.

Illuminations from the Rose and Crown outdoor tables is probably amazing, but I'm sure they can't guarantee an outdoor table for you.

1. Around 7:30 is a pretty good time. If they're running behind schedule it allows for extra waiting time. If they're on time you'll probably be just finished around 9.

2. There are tables both inside and outside. The outside patio tables are extremely popular and requested by a lot of people. You can ask for one when you check in, but the CMs might say that you have to take the first available table. If you're seated inside, let your server know you want to see IllumiNations and just before it starts they will escort you to the viewing area adjacent to the patio that is reserved for on R&C diners. Keep an eye on the time and remind the server when it's a little before 9. If you're not finished dining, you can come back in afterwards and finish your dinner.

The view from the viewing area is excellent, although you will be standing.

Also, while almost everyone wants to sit on the patio, not all of the tables have views of IllumiNations.
