It seems strange to me that you can’t make an ADR, that you have to reserve directly o through Open Table. I’ve done the latter, but does anyone know of any reason why this is so? The other Swan and Dolphin restaurants are listed on MDE, so you can make ADRs.

Thanks!

They could not be loaded yet or they could all be gone.

But there is absolutely no reason to not make the reservation through Open Table. It's a reservation and you don't have to put a card down so you can cancel with less than 2 hours notice. I do my Disney Springs reservations through Open Table all the time (along with reservations for places here and other places I visit). Never had a problem with them.

This, and OpenTable also has rewards. If you have to point out allergy stuff I just do that in the notes field.

FWIW, even on OpenTable I had some difficulty getting reservations around my dates for this place, granted our trip begins on a holiday weekend but I think because it's still very new it's going to be quite popular for a while.

Probably. There are a couple of them in NYC and they are really good - but I'll go places I don't have here. :D

I booked it because gf wanted to go, we've not been to the ones here, and tbqh I'm kinda meh on most of the TS options around Crescent Lake.

Oh, believe me, it's great! I'm just not spending a Disney meal on a place I have a subway ride away. :)
I get it--that's why I never bothered with Ample Hills when it was still a thing down there (my sister used to live down the street from the OG location on Vanderbilt & St. Marks in Brooklyn!). I'm kinda bummed out the Cake Bake place won't be open yet for our trip, I definitely would have done that instead because that's something we can't get here.

As PPs have noted, this restaurant just opened so may not be loaded into the WDW ADR system yet. We also far prefer making reservations through OpenTable - there are usually more times listed and the cancellation policy is much more flexible than WDW ADRs.

OT has always worked well for me - it even pops up on my calendar. I was just curious....

Thanks !

I never got to go to Rosa when I was in NY (Long Island, actually), but mostly I’m going because I looooove Mexican food, and I haven’t had any since I’ve been in south Florida. I don’t count Rocco’s Tacos, 😂.

There are too many things I want to order 🤤🤤🤤

On thing that my gut tells me is that SwanDolphin does not release all of their reservations to the Disney ADR system. A lot of their guests are there for conventions so OpenTable and their own in house (call in) probably gets most of their reservations. Disney will get around to adding them, but could be SD is holding back at first too.

This is absolutely true - OpenTable and in-house reservations has far more availability. If you are in the area or staying at the resort, you can also just walk into the restaurant and check availability - I've found the restaurants themselves have far more availability and flexibility than booking anywhere online. This is one reason I LOVE staying at Swan/Dolphin - great restaurants and, typically, far easier to get into than any WDW-owned restaurants.

Just a reminder, OT only has reservations for dinner. Breakfast and lunch do not have reservations online. When I was looking yesterday, there were many open reservations for dinner during our stay in May.

I wonder if many people just assume there are no reservations to be had since Rosa isn’t on MDE app
