Roqueta Island or the Hyatt...what did you think?

We are still at a loss as far as what to do in Acapulco. We are either going to go to the Hyatt to enjoy the day at the pool & (maybe) the beach OR we are going to take a boat ride over to Roqueta Island. We are traveling with our 7 & 3 year old children. We have tossed many ideas at Roberto ( who was wonderful enough to answer any & ALL questions! Thank You!) & he has repeatedly praised the Hyatt & has always said good things about Roqueta.

My question is have any of you tried either one? What were your impressions? & how would either excursion be for a family with "little" kids?

We are open for an "adventure". I try not to plan the heck out of things, but I would like to have an idea of "where" we are going & have heard that maybe Acapulco is not the place to just explore on your own. While we are up for a new & interesting experience, we don't want to feel like we have "wasted" one of our precious few days at port for this panama canal cruise!!

Thank You all for any info or advice you might have!
Thanks
Bridget

Bridget - the only thing less than favorable I have heard about Roqueta is the surf might be a little rough for your 3 year old. Other than that I have heard that it is a nice place and you can get there on your own. Hope this helps. See you on board.
