It was so much harder than normal day to day! And I still have no idea why she went on in without us. But it was a small snafu and all survived! These are really great! I'm loving your Olaf pictures.
Amazing how some of the most unexpected and unplanned events can turn out to be the best.
I'm really sorry for the miscommunication with your Mom. I think we have one of these every trip. Luckily I've never had 2 young kids to handle on my own. Kiddos to you for doing it.
Thanks for reading and the compliments on the photos. We truly enjoyed that character meet! Probably as much as the Talking Mickey one!Wrangling 2 kids and keeping them together is no easy task. I know how stressful that is. I'm loving the Olaf meetup. The pics are adorable!
Thank you so much!I'm loving all of your pictures.
Yes, Cape May was great! I do not remember it smelling like seafood at all, but I'm a fan of seafood, so maybe if it did, I wouldn't notice? I mean, I'd notice a fishy smell, but not necessarily a generalized seafood smell. But I'm thinking no, is the answer to your question!OMG, you got some truly amazing photos – both PP and from your phone! Cape May looks like a lot of fun! I have to ask – did it smell like seafood during the breakfast? We originally had a breakfast scheduled here, but I ended up cancelling. We walked by it multiple times daily for the week we were at BCV because my kids practically wanted to live at Stormalong Bay, and every time I smelled seafood, even when it wasn’t open! However, we never walked by in the morning, only the afternoon and evening.
I mean, it is good to get all the funny ones, to look back on one day, right? But, it makes it harder to find good ones to print out!Cracked up again at AJ’s picture faces – the kid has charisma, I’m telling you!Seriously great mix of adorable and hilarious.
I think part of it is how they've closed it off down that area somewhat. It's a tad confusing right now! Yeh, we'll go with that, ok?I also cracked up at you ending up by ABC Commissary when trying to get to TSMM because I did the exact opposite during our trip! Ended up by TSMM when trying to get to ABC Commissary and got pointed in the right direction by the CM at One Man’s Dream. I don’t usually get lost in WDW, but I got turned around. DHS has always made the least sense for navigating.
Yes, it can only get better from here, I think....lol. And with Mom, I guess she thought we were already there and inside, she said. But once I told her we weren't, I think she could've easily spoke to a CM and waited inside for us. But Mom isn't the type to "make waves" so to speak.I so understand the struggle of a really little one at WDW. Alex was 2 on our first trip and we had a few…special…experiences lol. I’m sorry your mom left you to deal with the kiddos! I’m sure that was rough and the heat and crowds didn’t help.
I'm thinking tomorrow night. Tonight DH and I are gonna catch up on Flipping Out. Depending on when we are done, though, I might be able to crank out the last part of our DHS afternoon. I'm trying to get as much done before I go back to work August 1st bc in general, I'm a lot busier when teaching (obviously) and most specially during the first month.Looking forward to the next update!
Yes, the food was wonderful for breakfast and I've heard for other meals as well.Cape May looks like a great experience!!!! I'd heard the food was good but don't think I'd ever seen pics of the characters before. Love, love, love the beach gear on them!

Thank you!To the OP, I'm enjoying your TR!
I mean, truly!! How hard can it be to put some benches in there? I mean, I think the kids would enjoy it even with the benches!Ouch, that Disney Jr. floorI remember it well..........it's such a cute and popular show but yes, they NEED to put in some chairs or benches for us not so young parents lol!!
OMG that Pink Lemonade might've been the best one I had. At the very least, it was tied (with the strawberry cream cheese one from BOG) for the best. As a matter of fact **spoiler** I get another one later on in the week!Yours is the 2nd excellent review of the pink lemonade cupcake I've read. At first thought it doesn't appeal to me but maybe I'll have to try it........I love red velvet but I've been let down by Disney cupcakes before, so I suppose I should save myself the disappointed on that one. And like your DM I enjoyed the Butterfinger one but it wasn't out of this world.
The Jawa was fun and I liked that he wasn't a "usual" Disney character!I can't wait to meet the Jawa. I didn't really think we would want to go in there but after reading about it on your report and a few others this is going to be a must.
Danielle loved Playhouse Disney when she was little. It was so fun to see how excited she got, but yes the floor kills your back. Very precious picture of your little one.
Your cupcakes look sooo good. Another stop to put on the list.
Looking forward to what happens next.
I don't really know for sure because we didn't ask, but my guess is no bc I never saw him do it. But you could always ask around the boards.Great update, My DS can't wait to meet the Jawas, will they sign his autograph book ?
That cupcake was so good! I got another later in the week. Yes, bring some trinkets and don't leave them in the stroller, like I did!The cupcakes look awesome. Adding the pink lemonade to my list. DH loves lemon stuff. I love red velvet so too bad it wasn't that good but I guess that means I can try the butterfinger instead. It looks really good. The Jawas are really cool. Must remember to bring something to trade.
Thank you so much!Great TR. Following along!
I can answer this!! (Hope OP doesn't mind)
We stayed at BC last time for a few nights and I really couldn't stand that seafood smell every time I walked past Cape May during the day (even though I do like seafood). However, we also ate breakfast there on our last morning and I didn't smell anything other than the delicious breakfast food! I would say you can go and not worry about it.
To the OP, I'm enjoying your TR!
