Rope Drop is Tip #1!! A June 2016 TR...updated 10/31 pg 19 post 373 THE END!

These are really great! I'm loving your Olaf pictures.

Amazing how some of the most unexpected and unplanned events can turn out to be the best.

I'm really sorry for the miscommunication with your Mom. I think we have one of these every trip. Luckily I've never had 2 young kids to handle on my own. Kiddos to you for doing it.
It was so much harder than normal day to day! And I still have no idea why she went on in without us. But it was a small snafu and all survived! :)

Wrangling 2 kids and keeping them together is no easy task. I know how stressful that is. I'm loving the Olaf meetup. The pics are adorable!
Thanks for reading and the compliments on the photos. We truly enjoyed that character meet! Probably as much as the Talking Mickey one!

OMG, you got some truly amazing photos – both PP and from your phone! Cape May looks like a lot of fun! I have to ask – did it smell like seafood during the breakfast? We originally had a breakfast scheduled here, but I ended up cancelling. We walked by it multiple times daily for the week we were at BCV because my kids practically wanted to live at Stormalong Bay, and every time I smelled seafood, even when it wasn’t open! However, we never walked by in the morning, only the afternoon and evening.

Cracked up again at AJ’s picture faces – the kid has charisma, I’m telling you! ;) Seriously great mix of adorable and hilarious.

I also cracked up at you ending up by ABC Commissary when trying to get to TSMM because I did the exact opposite during our trip! Ended up by TSMM when trying to get to ABC Commissary and got pointed in the right direction by the CM at One Man’s Dream. I don’t usually get lost in WDW, but I got turned around. DHS has always made the least sense for navigating.

I so understand the struggle of a really little one at WDW. Alex was 2 on our first trip and we had a few…special…experiences lol. I’m sorry your mom left you to deal with the kiddos! I’m sure that was rough and the heat and crowds didn’t help.

Looking forward to the next update!

Yes, Cape May was great! I do not remember it smelling like seafood at all, but I'm a fan of seafood, so maybe if it did, I wouldn't notice? I mean, I'd notice a fishy smell, but not necessarily a generalized seafood smell. But I'm thinking no, is the answer to your question! :)

I mean, it is good to get all the funny ones, to look back on one day, right? But, it makes it harder to find good ones to print out!

I think part of it is how they've closed it off down that area somewhat. It's a tad confusing right now! Yeh, we'll go with that, ok? ;)

Yes, it can only get better from here, I think....lol. And with Mom, I guess she thought we were already there and inside, she said. But once I told her we weren't, I think she could've easily spoke to a CM and waited inside for us. But Mom isn't the type to "make waves" so to speak.

Looking forward to the next update!
I'm thinking tomorrow night. Tonight DH and I are gonna catch up on Flipping Out. Depending on when we are done, though, I might be able to crank out the last part of our DHS afternoon. I'm trying to get as much done before I go back to work August 1st bc in general, I'm a lot busier when teaching (obviously) and most specially during the first month.

Cape May looks like a great experience!!!! I'd heard the food was good but don't think I'd ever seen pics of the characters before. Love, love, love the beach gear on them!

Yes, the food was wonderful for breakfast and I've heard for other meals as well.

It was probably the most fun character meal we experienced!

I can answer this!! (Hope OP doesn't mind)

We stayed at BC last time for a few nights and I really couldn't stand that seafood smell every time I walked past Cape May during the day (even though I do like seafood). However, we also ate breakfast there on our last morning and I didn't smell anything other than the delicious breakfast food! I would say you can go and not worry about it. :D

To the OP, I'm enjoying your TR!

Day Three 6/6/2016 ~ Hollywood Studios (part 2)

**Quick Note - please forgive the appearance of my frizzy hair in this update. It was so humid that day, there really was no helping it!**

So after we saw Olaf, we decided to head to Launch Bay to check it out. I had booked a ToT FP for 1 - 2 but only Dad and I would've used them so we decided to forego those (we would be back later in the week). Also, since we couldn't get BaTB in, we decided to try Disney Jr since I had that on the schedule for Friday (our next DHS day) and then that would free up some room for possibly seeing BatB that day.

We got over to Launch Bay and parked the stroller. We got inside and look who we ran into:

The Jawas are so cool! I had brought some plastic shiny trinkets (rings, coins) in a little treasure chest to attempt to trade with them but for the life of me, I could not find them. I looked and looked and looked through my bag some more, but no can do. Later, I realized I left them in the stroller. Smh. So photos only...but that was fun.

Next up, we decided to head to the Disney Visa Meet & Greet with Kylo Ren. I had heard he could be very intimidating but maybe he toned it down for the boys...because he really wasn't that scary to me:

Of course, we had on our Yoda (the boys) and BB-8 (me) shirts to show him where our allegiances lie, but that didn't stop him from trying to recruit AJ to the First Order! After we politely declined, we got one last shot and then were out of there:

Once we got done with Mr. Creepy, we headed outside and over to the Disney Jr show. The boys loved it and Will was enthralled:

Oh my gosh, but it was so hard for me to sit on the floor with them. Please Disney, get some benches in this place, besides just on the wall!

After this, it was getting close to 3pm and we had planned to head out around 1:30. So we made our way to the entrance but not without a stop by Starring Rolls. And oh my gosh, the cupcakes! I couldn't decide which one so I got two:
IMG_4777.JPG
The Pink Lemonade (to die for) and the Red Velvet. Just fyi: I had been drooling over that Red Velvet since I first heard about it on the Dis and Red Velvet is such a fave of mine. However, I was quite disappointed. I'm really glad I got two though because that Pink Lemonade was outrageously delicious! Oh and I promise I did not eat them both right away. I nibbled on those two cupcakes through several sittings! Yum!

Mom got the Butterfinger one and it was HUGE:

I think she liked it fine, but she didn't rave about it.

As we were walking out, some of us stopped for a PP photographer:

One of us refused to leave her scooter! Lol.

We even got a little animated photo/video out of it:

After this we were out, back to the car and back to SSR for some downtime...though not nearly as much as we planned. Plus our entire plan for the evening had changed. But more on that later...

Up next: Day Three 6/6/2016 ~ Disney Springs

Ouch, that Disney Jr. floor :headache: I remember it well..........it's such a cute and popular show but yes, they NEED to put in some chairs or benches for us not so young parents lol!!

Yours is the 2nd excellent review of the pink lemonade cupcake I've read. At first thought it doesn't appeal to me but maybe I'll have to try it........I love red velvet but I've been let down by Disney cupcakes before, so I suppose I should save myself the disappointed on that one. And like your DM I enjoyed the Butterfinger one but it wasn't out of this world.

I can't wait to meet the Jawa. I didn't really think we would want to go in there but after reading about it on your report and a few others this is going to be a must.

Danielle loved Playhouse Disney when she was little. It was so fun to see how excited she got, but yes the floor kills your back. Very precious picture of your little one.

Your cupcakes look sooo good. Another stop to put on the list.

Looking forward to what happens next.

Great update, My DS can't wait to meet the Jawas, will they sign his autograph book ?

The cupcakes look awesome. Adding the pink lemonade to my list. DH loves lemon stuff. I love red velvet so too bad it wasn't that good but I guess that means I can try the butterfinger instead. It looks really good. The Jawas are really cool. Must remember to bring something to trade.

I mean, truly!! How hard can it be to put some benches in there? I mean, I think the kids would enjoy it even with the benches!

OMG that Pink Lemonade might've been the best one I had. At the very least, it was tied (with the strawberry cream cheese one from BOG) for the best. As a matter of fact **spoiler** I get another one later on in the week!

I will say that I liked the Red Velvet when I wasn't comparing it to the Pink Lemonade. Basically when I first got them, I tried both and was really disappointed in the Red Velvet. Because I liked the Pink Lemonade one better, I obviously finished it first. Later on, when I was finishing the Red Velvet, by itself, I liked it a little better. But it definitely wasn't as good as I had read about on the Dis.

The Jawa was fun and I liked that he wasn't a "usual" Disney character!

Yes, the floor was murder on my back!

Yes, it was so good I got another later in the week!

I don't really know for sure because we didn't ask, but my guess is no bc I never saw him do it. But you could always ask around the boards.

That cupcake was so good! I got another later in the week. Yes, bring some trinkets and don't leave them in the stroller, like I did! :)

Great TR. Following along!
Thank you so much!

I am now sitting here drooling over that cupcake and wondering how pathetic it would be for me to specifically incorporate getting the cupcake into my plans for the next trip.

And so much yes on the Disney Jr floor. We saw the show on our first trip and haven't been back, partly because I can't bring myself to sit on that floor again! I love how into it Will was, though!

You got great Jawa pics, despite not having your trading items. We had items to trade, but my pics are terrible.

And your hair looked fine! As you know, I know all about the hell of trying to manage hair in that crazy humidity. You appear to have done a much better job than me lol. I just stuck a pair of sunglasses on top of my head to try told it all together and prayed. ;)

Thank you! I was wondering if the breakfast smells might overpower the fishy smell.
