Rooms Updated at BCV

My family and I are planning a trip June 20 - 28, 2013 at the BCV (can't get here fast enough!!). Did I hear correctly that the rooms were being updated? I may have been dreaming (as I often do when it comes to WDW), but I thought I heard updates were being done. Anyone know?

Sorry, you must have been dreaming. There hasn't been any announcement of renovations at BCV at this time. But they often paint and refresh the villas. Updating isn't really something that happens at the villas because they are themed to specific times and locations. When they do renovations to the DVC villas, they often don't change much at all.

DVC members pay for all renovations with their dues.

I just returned from BCV yesterday. They were replacing the mattresses in the villas. They put notices in the room twice while I was there that there would be workers doing this, and there was one day where I did see them putting the mattresses in the hallway to take into the rooms. That new mattress was very comfy.

There's renovations being done to the resort right now. Hurricane Hannah's is closed for renovations and the gym has been temporarily moved to the solarium while the gym is redone.

That's the BC resort amenities, not the BCV.
