Anyone stayed in one the new(ish) family rooms at the DLH? We're hoping to visit DLRP this Christmas with friends from Bath and wanted to get the family rooms. What was the layout? Size? Can you pay extra for a park view? What about the Castle Club?

Any comments would be appreciated!

I'm not 100% sure but I think DLH's family rooms are just a normal sized standard room with an added daybed. I also think they're not in Castle Club so you wouldn't get a park view or Castle Club perks.

Hopefully someone else will come along who can confirm. :)

Thanks, Elaine. Seems to me that the price difference for just an added day bed is more than a little steep. We may as well get two rooms each to have double the space and four proper beds for not much more at all.....

Thanks for the information anyway. :goodvibes :)

We inquired about these family rooms at DLH and we found the same as you-the price difference for a family room was a lot for an additional day bed so we opted for 2 connecting rooms.Although we still had to pay a price hike as there were only 5 of us hence single adult supplement was applied for each room we had tons of space. We actually still had 1 bedroom with huge double bed and a day bed and then another room connected by an internal door with 2 double beds and a day bed.We could have easily fitted 5 of us in the `standard` room but it was not allowed to be booked -never did undestand that one!Hotel was gorgeous though

and two bathrooms!! :cloud9: Now I've got two teenage DDs and one who's "almost" a teen, I can see us booking two rooms in the not too distant future! :rotfl:
