Rooms at ASMo

Woo hoo! I'm so excited that I finally got a room here! Dh was able to add an extra day to his vacation; and we've been trying to get an inexpensive room for 1 night. The All-Stars have been full every time I call, but I was able to book a room online today.

Now, for my question. The only thing available was a preferred location. Which building is this? I'm guessing Fantasia; but Toy Story looks just as good. If Fantasia is the preferred location, will I not be able to request Toy Story? My ds (3.5) would get a real kick out of staying there. Thanks-Dana

I may be wrong but I am sure Fantasia is the preferred building at ASMovies. Hope you have a great time.

Yes, Fantasia is the Preferred Building. I think Toy Story and 101 Dalmations is just as close. You can try asking for Toy Story when you check in; they may be able to assist you.

Fantasia is the prefered rooms because of its closenes to the pool and food court. You might be able to get Toy Story room at check-in.

When we went in January I asked if I could pay the 10.00 per night extra for the prefered room and be assured Toy Story instead. They said no they would not do that. We were very happy with fantasia, but DS wanted Toy Story. We did not ask upon check-in to switch so that might be a possibility if rooms are open there.

I would keep you preferred view reservation and keep checking for a regular view availability. That still won't garuantee TS, but it would be a better chance.

IMO, pretty much the only way to get the building you want is to check in early and ask the for it in person. This seems to work the best for us. Everytime we have checked in early (usually around noon) we have gotten exactly what we wanted. This last trip we didn't check in until 5pm and we got the bottom of the barrel.

Hmmmm.....Well, we'll definitely be checking in late in the day. Probably in the 5-7 range. It's only for one night, so it's not the end of the world if we don't get in the TS building. We can just take ds exploring the next morning before we check out. Of course, I'll still request TS when we check in LOL Thanks everyone!
