Roomba

Has anyone tried out a Roomba vacuum? I am so tempted, but I wonder if it works as well as it claims. They have several models now, too. How do you choose? It would be great to have it for the uptairs. I never seem to get up there to vacuum it often enough!

I have one, and it works pretty good. I love that it goes under my bed and, dresser and futon.

I have hard wood floors and a bird who throws his seed everywhere. So, it picks that all up pretty well. Not sure how it would do on carpet.

The last time I ran my roomba, it was having problems. I have long hair and it seems to have gotten a bunch of it caught in the brushes. fun, fun.

Have you seen the new thing that they have out now. It is called Robo Maid. It is like the Swifer/Roomba combined.

LoraJ - I also have long hair and have to sit down and give my Vaccuum a hair cut ever once in a while.

WOW! I have been saying since I got my roomba that they need to invent something like that. Maybe I should start hinting to my boyfriend that I want this for Christmas.

Now if they could only invent something that will not only do this, but also pick up my clutter.

Although, there is the Asimo (is that what it is called?) robot, but I think it is a tad bit out of my budget.

Doh, I thought the robo-maid would sweep and mop, but it only dusts

I hope my DH NEVER sees this!!

My friend has a Roomba for her hard wood floors and it works great. We tried it at our house, but it didn't really pick up the dog hair very well--especially on the carpet. This is why I have a Dyson.
