Has anyone asked for their room service to be delivered to the adult pool area instead of their stateroom?

I have not. I suspect that they couldn’t do this. How would they know which guest to whom they should deliver? Just a best guess, though. 😊

With several food places close by why would there be a need for food delivery. People generally use room service to save time or because restaurants are closed or because kids need a quiet time etc. If someone had their hands full with kids a delivery service would be very helpful at the pool area but at the adult pool this isn't the case. I am not being critical. Just trying to understand the reason because for certain reasons I imagine you could a cast member to help.

A good friend just got off a Princess cruise. He was very impressed with their app. You can order food or drinks on the app and they deliver to you wherever you are on the ship... at the pool, in a lounge, in your room, etc. You can also be "connected" via the app to anyone you want on the ship and see their location at any time. For example, he was traveling with extended family and instead of trying to use a chat feature or whatnot, he could just look on the app and see that his cousin was in the bar on deck 3 and his aunt was at a craft activity in a lounge and his uncle was in his room. Kind of nifty!

Unless, of course, you don't really want anyone tracking where you are at every moment.

Disney IT isn't that advanced to find you at the pool. You're lucky to get a message that someone sends you on the app within an hour of them sending it
.

Sadly, Disney cruise line technology is nowhere close to medallion level ready. I’m a little surprised that they rolled out magic band plus to DCL without adding a location feature; especially considering how many parents allow their kids to freely roam on the ship. We would probably all love to know exactly where they are.

As to Princess, I’d just like it if my messages would actually go through / get received on a Disney cruise. The idea of ordering to my location and them knowing it or being able to see where others are sounds like science fiction for Disney.

I would guess, just by observation on our cruises, that you cannot get food delivered to the pool deck.

And his spouse was... in the crew quarters with the head waiter? :-)
