Is there any way i could e-mail pop century with a room request as i have no fax machine
i live in England and the calls are extremely expensive i have an autistic son and would like to request a quiet room if possible
please help
(i have also posted this on the Resorts Board sorry)
many thanks in advance

I wonder if you could email them and ask them to call you about a specific room location? I was thinking just today that anyone without free long distance on their calling plan would be in trouble! I wonder why Disneyworld does not have toll free calling?

They did have some toll free numbers (and still have them for travel agents and people like that who call frequently). Toll free numbers are free to the person calling, but they are expensive for the person receiving the call. Each call is charged to the person/company receiving it. With many people having free long distance, it was an expense they apparently thought would not damage their business to no provide.

I would suggest you contact them however you made your reservation (whether it is a travel agent or you called directly) and ask them to add that as a request. You could also try contacting the Special Needs number (it is listed in the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of the board). They normally handle requests for things like accessible rooms, but may handle your special request also or at least point you in the right direction.
I am not aware of any direct way to email to a particular resort and, even if there was, it would not be likely to get the request connected to your reservation.
Faxes are not a sure fire way to contact them either. Some resorts get so many faxes that they throw them away without looking at them. Even if they do pay attention to them, connecting the request in the fax up to your resort is not a sure thing.

Just to note - a quiet room is nearly impossible to guarantee. It depends on who they put in the room next to you. You could request a room on the top floor, away from the elevators, away from the pool area, in a section that doesn't even have a pool as well, for a chance at a quiet room. But if they put the Loud family next to you on one side, and the Doorbangers on the other, it will not be quiet. The toilets can also be very loud when they flush, especially in the middle of the night.

Very good points.:thumbsup2

I called the special needs line and spoke to a lovely gentleman who was a great help
obviously cannot guarentee anything but will note my request
when i say quiet i mean no traffic and not near any parking lots etc
we will be on holiday and note that people will be noisy and the rooms are not soundproof but just wanted to be away from roads and traffic hazzards
many thanks for all your input
Mandy
