I have two bookings in December, 2 nights at the Pixar Place Hotel and 7 nights in a Disneyland Villa. For both reservations I made room requests with my initial booking however when I go to the MyDisney App it says on my reservation that there are no special requests. Is this normal or should I ring Disney to make sure that the requests have definitely been logged into the system.

Try looking at your folio that was emailed to you. Scroll down and you should see requests you made. However, they don't always put all of them in. I just looked at mine and it noted that we were celebrating a birthday and that we requested 2 Q + daybed, but there was nothing there about location. I always request a room close to the main elevators so I'm glad you brought this up because I would like them to make note of that more than anything else!

This iscorrect. Not all the requests make the online reservation. I would call them directly and request it.

I did call them to make the requests. I was just saying that if you don't see it noted on the reservation folio, you may want to call again. Sorry if I did not make that clear. I was glad Porsche4 brought this up because I went in and checked my folio and I see I need to call back to have them note my location request. The other requests I made were on the folio.

Thanks for that. Any idea how close to check in time I should ring them. Should I do it now or wait til say the week before we arrive.

Yes, agree with the others. Call a bit before your trip to reiterate your requests (they will say nothing is guaranteed unless you paid for a specific room type), and I always do in-person check-in because probably 80%+ of the time the room location request was never noted (or so they tell me). I'm usually told "Great news! Your room is ready!" but it's never the room requested, LOL. I think that's how they get people to take the less desired rooms. I always tell them it's ok, I'll wait for the room I requested, and they're always really cool about it.

Call the hotel front desk about 2 weeks before your arrival date. They supposedly start "assigning" rooms about 10 days out.
