Room requests for two reservations

Hi everyone we just booked out first DVC stay at the 11 month mark for VWL (don't make me say it). We are in a 1 bedroom and our friend rented points for a studio. How will we go about making requests to be close to one another? Is that during online check-in or is that something we can do now? Has anyone had any luck getting them right next to each other where you can get a connecting door?

So excited but wow this is very far away. I have never made plans this far in advance.

You and the owner they rented from need to contact MS and have a 'Travel With' noted on both reservations. The 'Travel With' will alert the room assigner to try and locate the rooms as near to each other as possible.

Do not put any requests in through online check-in if you do place the "Travel With" notice on your reservation. The online requests will over-ride those put in by MS.
I did the "Travel With" notice at SSR for three rooms booked under different names. We got all the rooms in one building and on the same floor.
I did the "Travel With" notice for VB for two rooms booked under different names. We got connecting rooms.
