We are going to the world in October. When do you suggest we call about a room request. Have never done this before. I know we want a nonsmoking (which I forget when talking to
CRO) and a building near the food court. We are staying at POFQ. Any suggestions for a building number. Also, has anyone ever stayed on the first floor there? We have always been on an upper floor when there in the past--along time ago! Only 77 more days!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

It is best to make your request when you make your reservation, followed up with a fax about 3-4 days before arrival. It is my understanding that room assigners start there job about three days out.

Building 4 is the closest to the food court and bus stop. Building 5 is the closest to the pool and next closest to the food court. The resort is so small that no matter where you stay you will only be 5 minutes away from everything.

We stayed in Building 3, 3rd floor because we like being off the beaten path with less traffic by our room. We loved the resort and next time we may not request anything but third floor.

Check out a resort map, you'll see what I mean.

Have a great trip!

do you know the fax number?? We will be going to the vistana villages for the first 4 nights than to pofq. Should I fax a request when I get to the vistana? Or should I fax the request before we even leave for florida??

The fax number for PO-FQ is (407) 934-5353.

I'm not really sure if a couple of days early matters. If it isn't a hassle from your first hotel try it there. Otherwise, do it just before you leave and have a worry free vacation! Keep your fax fun, friendly, and short.

Good luck!

Where can I find a resort map? Is there anything wrong with the 1st floor? I will have a stroller & should be several months pregnant during my 4 day trip in January, alone with almost 3 yr old. Thank you! I hope I'm not crazy!!

You can find maps of all the resorts at www.wdwinfo.com. Left side menu column under resorts.

The only thing I can see that might be a little disturbing with a first floor room would be the foot traffic. But I really don't think it will be a problem and it is definately what I would choose for you.

When I was having babies, I never let it stop me from doing anything including traveling alone with all four of them--pregnant or not! Go and have a great time!

We have a 4 yr old DS and have been going since he was 18 months. Since he was born we started requesting a ground floor room. Is much more convenient with a stroller...but the bldgs do have elevators. We weren't bothered by the foot traffic.

We request bldg. 5 because it is right in the middle of things. We've also stayed in bldg 4 and 6. Bldg. 4 would be our 2nd choice.

You'll like the resort. The food court was just rehabbed and I hear it is really nice. The resort itself is small and compact. Great for kids as there is lots of open green space to run.
