We are staying at BRV in a few weeks. I want to put in a room request. I know the top floors have the strange dormered-balconies, which I want to avoid. I just can't remember how many floors BRV has. I would also like to avoid the studio with no balcony. Anyone know what floor that is on? And if I want to avoid a parking lot view, should I request pool view?

You don't have to make a request to avoid the single studio without the balcony. There is one. Odds are very low to start with and it just makes your request more complex and more likely to be ignored.

No, what I meant was if it's on the 3rd floor, I would just request the 4th floor. I know not to make requests complicated.

Check this link, post #6

The 1 VWL studio without a balcony (which I believe is actually 4533) is the only DVC room I've ever heard of that doesn't have either a balcony or a patio of some sort

So that's on the 4th floor. How many floors does BRV have? If it's 5, I will probably request 3rd floor. I don't want to be on the top floor because of the weird enclosed balconies.

5 floors, I would go for 3rd, request pool view, remember request are just that, requests.

Thank you for the information! That sounds like the perfect request. And yes, I know requests are just requests and not guarantees.

Just found a BRV map. Is it true there are only two studios on the 5th floor? If so, there's not much chance of getting an enclosed balcony anyway. It looks like the first floor has the most studios, but I really don't want a patio. There aren't a whole lot of studios on the 2nd-4th floors either that are facing the pool. I think I may request 2nd or 3rd floor, pool view (two floors requested instead just to increase my chances of getting pool view).
