Room Request at GCH

We are staying 5 days in a standard room. The super thread is daunting to try to get through, so would anyone be able to recommend what room to request.

We would love to stay somewhere in the hotel without the endless halls.

Are the courtyard rooms close? Also, something near the stairwell exit towards Downtown Disney might be okay too, however we have a stroller to contend with.

There were a few suggestions in the thread about the rooms around the elevators. Rooms are assigned as you check in, they are not pre-assigned or that you are given a romm because you request it. It seems the earlier the better chance you have.

Yeah, just ask when you check in. Courtyard view rooms are down a long hall. . . a standard view room near the elevator will overlook the parking lot.
