We have a standard view studio booked at BWV for a week in late June of this year. We prefer to use stairs over elevators at this point, but would ideally prefer to avoid higher floors all together.

What would be a reasonable room request? “Lower floor near stairwell” ?
“Near lobby” ?

Do you think they’ll even honor room requests at this point?

Thanks!

Actually, I think this may be the best time as many are moving trips to when parks open back up,

Yes, I would ask for lower floor, near lobby.

Im following any other responses. We also have BWV standard studio for 4 nights in july after the parks open. Hoping to get reservations to the parks and be able to utilize the walking distance to DHS and Epcot. Its just me and my wife so we will take advantage of the boardwalk area nightlife on occasion too.

Would love to hear if anyone else has any standard studio recommendations, or any to try to avoid for sure if possible.

If stairs aren't a problem for you, consider asking for an upper floor across from the bus stop. This area is about equi-distant for walking to both DHS and EPCOT. It's also convenient to the bus stop & the leisure pool/Community Hall area, and has a view of the gondolas. If fireworks are offered while you are there, it also gives you a chance of seeing them from your balcony. (There are some villas that have trees that block that view).

I don't care for the SV rooms near the lobby. They are subject to outside noise (luggage trucks beeping while backing up, BAGS desk activity & buses idling). Close to elevators means more noise from hallways, too. I might feel differently if we were traveling with strollers, wheelchairs or ECVs, though.

Thanks for all the info! Sounds like a perfect spot because we will use the leisure pool during the day and I like the idea of being equal or similar distance to everything.
