We are finally staying at BCV for our first time on our upcoming April trip. At most of the other resorts I usually have an idea of what area or even room # to request. But not so at BCV. Does anyone have any recommendations? We are 2 families with 4 young (9,7,6,&5) kids. Probably want to be accessible to the pool. But also wouldn't mind a view. You know, we want it all. :thumbsup2

If anyone has any room recs that would be great!

Thanks in advanced.

Cheers,
Ryan

Here's a photo which might help with your room selection.

IMO a super-pro of BC is it is so small there are no bad rooms. I have asked for Epcot/Illuminations view or near market place and 1st floor all before (when we get the refill mugs). I have had about 1/2 a doz + different rooms. All Studios or 1 beds.

Thanks everyone for the help.

I forgot to add. We are staying in a 2bdr and apparently, according to my reservation it says our 2nd bdr will have 2 queen beds. According to Vicki's maps, that narrows my choices down a bit.

If I wanted to get a view of Epcot and Illuminations I assume it would be best to ask for a room on the 5th floor. Is that correct?

Yes higher(est) floor would give you the best shot of seeing anything. Personally I would not ask for any particular room # (what your original question said). Just ask for a high floor looking towards Epcot (I think that's considered a woods view).

Now that I look @ the maps myself - it looks like there are only 2 of those rooms on the 5th floor so I think it's a long shot on getting one of those on the 5th floor. I didn't realize the 5th floor was smaller than the other floors.

Something I just found interesting. I just got off the phone with Member Services and asked to put in the request for "Epcot View" and they said they were no longer allowed to put that into the reservation request. They said since Soarin' was constructed it apparently blocks the view, so they can't add that to a reservation request. They did say you could ask for it when you check in at the resort, but not on the member services reservation.

However, I was allowed to put in a room # and just asked for a couple of rooms that were facing Epcot.

So, hopefully, we'll get one of them.

Thanks again everyone for your help!

I'd be careful about requesting specific villas, since if they are not available when you arrive the resort won't have a good idea what you want and you may end up with something completely on the opposite side of the resort - especially with a high demand 2BR like you have.

Good luck! :)

Friends of ours just stayed in a 1 br and were on the second floor and what a haul it was to get to their room.... but it was quiet and had a great view. Sorry don't remember the # but it's a tough situation there...

Wow - a haul from where? The lobby? We've stayed only about 8-10 rooms from the parking lot end (over the canal) and didn't find it a haul to get anywhere - it's not that big. But I guess it depends on where you're trying to go or what path you took. If you're on that end of BCV, from the BCV entrance, it's quicker to cut outside by the villas pool and enter in the side door there than walking all the way through the villas hallways. We like that section of the villas because it's close to the parking lot.
