We are going to Disney for the first time in October 2004. We currently have
a gardenview room at the POLY for $345 a night "room only". So far I see no discount codes for this time. This seems high for a basic room. Does anyone have an 800# that agents use for reservations? A friend used it a couple of years ago.

Any tips?

There is a Disney Resorts board that you might want to try your question at. The people there are more likely to have advice on this question.

Good luck!

TPI Travel seems to good to be true. I went to the website and your
right $175.00. Do I then book the rooms and passes through the site
or am I issued an agent number and book throught Disney?

Thanks for such a great tip.

This really isn't a rumor or news... You'll likely get a better response on the budget board.

After you sign up you get a number give that to disney and bam 50% off. this will work for any travel need discounts might not be as good but car rental , hotelrooms

$345 a night for a hotel room!!!! Maybe the budget board isn't the proper forum either.

greenhornet- you do know that you'll be required to present your CLIA or IATAN card at checkin, right? And you dont have those... and can't have those until you sell a bunch of stuff and apply for them. Just because a code works, doesnt mean they'll honor it at the counter. I can put AAA codes in online all day long but dont have a card when I get there to show. My mom was a travel agent for years and never made enough money to get the cards that give you the perks like this... She thought it would be fun to plan others DIsney trips on the side, and its a hard business to get into professionally...

I just would hate to see someone else spend $175 on something that will likely not work once you arrive. TO others considering, if it seems too good to be true, IT IS. Just be cautious.

I have my arc card on the way as we speek.

Like Aimeedyan wrote you will need a CLIA or IATAN card at check in. These are the only cards Disney World will take for discounts. Disneyland only takes IATAN cards.
