I have a family of 5, and trying to find the various options for rooms at any of the Universal Resort hotels that would accomodate them, as well as the prices. The Loews website won't give me prices for the larger suites other than the kids suites. Sites like expedia only show me the regular rooms.

When the reservation screen states that the room with two doubles/queens can sleep up toe 5, is there a sofa bed for the 5th person? Or would the 5th person need to get a cot or roll-away bed? Are there any rooms that have two double beds and a sofabed?

Other than the kids-theme suites, what would be the most reasonably priced suite option that has a separate room for the kids? I can't find pricing for things like the Portofino suites but guessing they would be pricey!

The Hard Rock hotel has the deluxe double double rooms, which have a sofabed. The Royal Pacific does not have these rooms, you would ask for a rollaway to put in the double double room but it will be a tight fit, but can be done. Sorry I have no info on suites, hope others can help with that.

if you go to the website, universalorlando.com, you can get the specifics for all the hotels. you will find your answers there.

when you get to the main site, use the pull down menu for hotels.
from there you can compare them all.

all hotels can have 5 in the room.
2 adults, 3 under the age of 18 and no additional charge.
i have stayed at suites but they are pricey.

least expensive rooms would be at rph.
you can get info on the room sizes and layout on the hotel site.

i don't know the ages of your children so don't know if a child suite is what you really need. if i had more info, i could be of more help. since i don't, this is a "generic" answer: if you do not get a room with a sofa, you can make a "bed" o the floor if you have a little. housekeeping will give you extra blankets, sheets, pillow if you ask them. many have done that with their families.
you do not have to order the rollaway bed.
you could bring along an aero bed or air mattress if it is for a child that wouldn't mind sleeping on the floor.

the deluxe double queens at hrh have a pull out sofa.
some of the sofas at the pbh do not pull out.

once you have checked out the hotel site, and if you decide you want to stay at pbh, then you would need to call and ask which rooms have the pull out sofa.

you can get all the information you need from the universal site for room dimensions, layout, size, beds, room prices, amenities, etc.

then go to the loews site to put your reservation in.

any more questions, please post them.
