Room only then package question

I am hoping someone here can help me. We have a room only rack rate(no AAA rate available) ressie for 1 night 4/20 at POFQ with a 9 night AAA package with dining beginning at POFQ the very next day 4/21. I have requested the same building on both ressies. So here is my question. When I go to check in on the 20th which will be late, approxiametly 10:15pm, will I be able to ask the front desk CM if I can stay in the same room so that I don't need to physically remove all our stuff? I know I will have to check out and check in again because of the package. Has anyone ever done this? Thanks for your help!

Yes you can do it!!! In 2005 we found a late flight so we arrived after midnight to the ALL STAR MUSIC and we only paid for the extra night...we stay in the same room for 8 days more...They will give two different res number one for the room only and the other for the package....You need to request that I dont see you will have any problems.
