Room Only res?

I know there was muich bruhaha last year about room only reservations being discontinued. We are planning a trip April 7-10, and I would like to get a room only in case we decide to go off property for a day, or in the event discounts come out. Does anyone know if you can still get the room onlys, and, if so, how? What number do I call?

Room-onlys are still a very valid option - never went away, never will. Just call the 1-407-W-DISNEY number and just be sure to insist on a room-only reservation, and make sure that the deposit is equal to one night's stay with tax. If they tell you $200 deposit - it's a package.

Generally speaking, CRO books room only and the WD Travel Company books packages. Sometimes even when WDTC books what they call "room only," it's really a package with the more stringent cancel policy. So when you get a person, ask whether it is CRO or WDTC.

Just ask when you get through whether CRO or WDTC and whether you can make a "room only with a five day cancelation policy." If they say they are WDTC and say "no," ask to be transfered to CRO. If they don't really understand what you're asking, hang up and try again.

I just booked a room only ressie with Dreams Unlimited. They will change my rates when the codes come out and they will also book all of my priority seating reservations. Ahhh, now I can relax.
