I haven't checked in here in a while because I was starting to think we weren't going to see a Room Only discount. Good to know that it's still a possibility. But if not, at least glad that I booked for the AAA discounted rate.

We're doing a split stay, so booked the first half with 6 nights at POP and the tickets for 10 days, then the second half is 5 nights at AKL room only with AAA rate. We arrive at AKL on 2/2/06 so I'm hoping for the room only discount for then. Like many others here, very happy with the AAA rate if nothing better comes out!!

I called WDW Travel today to ask something about my upcoming trip and I also asked about any possible upcoming Room Only discounts for that time frame. She said that she wasn't aware of anything, but they didn't know about the special package until two days before it was released. But she said to keep checking where I'd heard the rumor because they tend to have pretty good sources for their info.

I think there must be some coming. The best rate for AP holders went from $64.00 to $49.00 in January (for values). I take that to mean that general codes must be coming out or they wouldn't have lowered our rates. That's just a guess.

Were going January 6 thru 12. I just gave up on room only discounts and renewed my AAA. I was worried my new card wouldn't arrive before we left . Well AAA discount is better then nothing. Who knows, maybe something will come out now I've spent the money. Tina

I'm sorry, but wasn't it suggested that there might be something released at the END of November? It's only Nov. 12th, not even close to the end of the month. I don't think there's any need for panic. Besides...if you've already booked then you already know what you can afford. While additional savings would be great, there's no guarantee and we should have only booked based on what we could afford to spend...not in the hopes that a code would suddenly appear.

I don't think we're panicking, and yes I did already reserve a spot at POFQ, since it's what we can afford. We're just excited about hoping for another discount, which for us would mean we might be able to upgrade to AKL!

I got a AAA quote through CRO for WL for about $195 a night including tax, which isn't close to a moderate rate. You should be able to at least get a quote from CRO before deciding whether to join. I ended up buying an AP and getting a room at the AKL for much less, but I don't think your 2 night stay would justify the purchase of an AP. It just looks like there won't be any blockbuster deals from anybody this January.

We booked AKL for Feb 2 through Feb 7th (the second half of our stay) at 194.01 including tax.

I just have a feeling that we're gonna be offered more than just those packages that came out the beginning of this month! wouldn't it just make sense for them to offer room only to LURE people in there?????

check mousesavers.com under AAA discounts, she spells it all out. I am getting a 10% discount at BC but that is late Feb which is "peak"season, if you are going in value season it will be more, I think around 15% at deluxes but check mousesavers to be sure.

When I made my reservation with WDW travel, I asked about room only too. She said she didn't hear anything, but if I saw something to call and they would put on my ressie. I know that WL and AKL will probably be booked by then...but at least saving money on POR would be nice!

I am guessing that mousesavers will post as soon as they know, if anything comes out?

You can pretty much bet that if there is something good happening on discounts, it'll be posted there first! I've still got my fingers crossed too for our trip in January although I am already getting the AAA discount (15%) -- better than nuthin'!
