Room only or package reservation? Coupons with free luggage tags?

I booked a room only reservation for August. I'm going back now to buy park tickets. Is there any advantage in having my reservation changed from room only to a package now? We will be spending most of our days off property so I'm not interested in the dining plan or Memory Maker. With RO, I won't get free luggage tags and vouchers. Anyone know what coupons are included with the luggage tags?

Thanks!

One of the disadvantages of a package deal is the cancellation policy. With a package, if you cancel 44 days or less you will have to pay a $200 cancellation fee. If you change your package and get a lower rate, there is a $50 fee.

For room only, you can cancel six days, online booking, or five days, call in, without a penalty.

I think the package time for cancellation will be shortened next year.

There are discount coupons for various activities and restaurants at the resorts, parks, and DTD. I did hear that the package is changing. So I would research and find out exactly what is included now. If the coupons are for things that you will actually use then it might make sense to change to a package. If you won't use the discount coupons then it wouldn't be worth it. You can get discount tickets through Undercover Tourist. If you subscribe to Mousesavers website there is a special link in the newsletter for even better discounts. They are an authorized Disney ticket reseller so there is no worry there. Have fun. Cheers!!!!!
