Room locations - AKV studios

we have reserved a SV studio, and requested that we be near the lobby/pool/restraunts. has anyone had a similer room req/view? which areas are the SV studios at in this resort?

I'm interested to hear what everyone has to say. We have a SV studio for next week and the only request I made was that I was not facing the construction.

SV studios are pool view. We were there late January before and after the cruise. Our first SV studio looked down on the roof of Boma's/pool view. Close to the lobby, laundry area pretty good location. After the cruise we checked in again and this time much further than the first room, past the elevators towards the right. A very nice pool view, close to the elevators which zip right down to 1 and out the door to Mara's/pool/hot tub. Not close to the lobby like room one. Both rooms were good in different ways. I had no problem with either room, except the lightening at the kitchenette was very poor--post back and tell me what you think. Even with the light on we couldn't see to fill up the coffeepot and had to keep moving it to see where the water level was. Other than that, everything was nice, neat and pretty.

sv - can be savannah view or standard view - which one did you request?

n2mm is correct all the standard views are around and close to the pool.

savannah views are just that and can be anywhere there is a savannah.

sorry, i should have clarified that a bit better. for my SV, i meant savannah view.

Yes they are scattered throughout the resort. Where you see "DedSt" on the map, that indicates Dedicated Studios. Where you see "2BR", those are 2BR lockoffs which are a combination of a 1BR and a studio.

That map is awesome! I am also looking to book a savanna view studio for the last week of October. I have only stayed at OKW (once each in a 1BR and 2BR) so the studio will be a change. My biggest concern is that I am SURE I will have to do a little laundry. How inconvenient is it at AKLV? I know that at OKW the studio occupants had to go doen by the pool areas to access the laundry facilities. I haven't found anything relating to the laundry facilities at AKL so if anyone has any ideas, please share.

hi again - the front desk will tell you that there is not one.

there definitely is.

at least one is near the exit going down to the lobby - beyond 42.

so am expecting the value (which I will be at next week) to be close to 46 and 51.

if not - just walk over to the one I know.

you will need your key (id) to open these things. guess dvc didn't want the AKL guest to use our laundry? they are still free - just remember to bring your detergent and fabric softernor.
