Room Location ?

We vacationed in Traverse City, MI this past summer and stayed at a resort right on the bay. Our room was located on the first floor, "bayfront". So if we walked out the doorwall we were right on the beach. It was great, while our youngest DS(2) took his nap we layed out in the sun just a few feet away and the older kids swam! So my question is....Are any of the Disney resort rooms located right by the pools like that?

Which resort are you asking about?
Most of the Deluxe resorts have some rooms with access to the pool.

We have narrowed it down to YC, BC, Poly or CBR. I think I may call the resorts and ask them myself or see is they can fax me the hotel maps with room locations.

The YC, BC, & POLY all have quiet pools that have acess from there patio doors, IF you are lucky enough to get one of these rooms, 1st floor waterview, quiet pool (poly is a garden-view). The POLY also has some rooms that have 1st floor water view that are located on seven seas lagoon with a beach!

The YC / BC have a beach but it is down at the back of the resort.

The CBR you could get a room located near 1 of the 7 quiet pools, hoping your door would be close enough you could go down to the beach front on the little lake or the quiet pool area?

The problem lies in the fact Disney does not give out room numbers ahead of time. you will not know your room number / location until check in. So you can request any of these above but will you get it? maybe? Depends on the season, how busy is the resort?, time of check in, if the clerk is in a good mood, Any number of factors if you get your request.

Leads to HOW to get your request? Fax, tell CRO, Call ahead, ? Do these work? Or are you a nusicance? Sometimes it works sometimes not.

Last year it worked both times for me! the year before I didn't get anywhere? I guess its half the fun of all this planning and figuring out, how to win at this game?

Thanks for the reply mkymouse4ever. I'm thinking it's BC or CBR. I'll fax a room request and maybe we'll get lucky but I definately don't think being a nusiance will get me what I'm hoping for...though it sometimes works with DH

I don't think any of the rooms at CBR are that close to the quiet pool or beach to do that.
