Where should I request for location? We have a 2 bedroom standard view reserved. First time staying here. Probably need to be near lobby and/or elevator.

We are there now. I requested a high floor to avoid a view out onto roof of the main entrance. We have the third floor, not a high floor, smack dab in the middle, but it has a great view. We are above the back walkway with a straight shot to the MK fireworks and some of the lake with the GF off to the side, excellent view for a standard. We have also had a view towards the parking lot, and since there were plenty of trees I thought it was fine.

automaticsoap Thank you! That's what I was looking for. I appreciate you help. Donna M. Thanks you for the description. We did request a higher floor. I believe the person I talked with at DVC asked for us to be "closer" to the monorail loading station. I realize that that is over at the GF main buidling, but maybe if we get that we will have a better view of the fireworks? Hoping so.

VGF is very small, I wouldn't request close to monorail station, that may put you looking at the parking lot. It's a 3 minute walk from one end of the building to the other so room location for distance isn't important.

Better that you request high floor, MK view. That's easy for the room assigner to understand what you are looking for.

Thanks for the advice Bill. I see what you're saying. I'll call and revise the request. We want to be closer to the main hotel building.

Again closer to main building really isn't an issue, it's the view that you should be after. From the villa building to the GF lobby it's a 5 minute walk.

We were in 1417 last Dec.. My only request was upper floor & we were on the 4th floor. I was sort of hoping for a villa that looked towards the main building w/ a view of some high fireworks, but I wasn't disappointed with 1417's view out the front of the DVC building and the Wedding pavilion, water and the Poly to the left. I enjoyed watching the monorails glide by from our balcony, it felt very Disney to me.
