We are taking a weekend trip to AKL. We are not even going to the park. (We live in Orlando) We would like to stay in a Savannah room. Any suggestions? Can you really look out and see giraffes? Are there balconies? I'm not very familiar with this hotel. We've been to almost all the other ones. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! Yes you really can look out and see the animals, right in front of you- it's so cool! All rooms have balconeys.

We were there this past easter and I recommend a room on Zebra trail, facing the Arusha rock savannah. Floor 2 if you want to closer to the animals or floor 4 if you want a more expansive view. Floor 3 is the lobby level, there are rooms there but there tends to a lot of traffic on this floor because of the lobby, although I've heard the noise doesn't make it into the rooms.

The Arusha rock savannah has Ankole, Zebra, giraffes and Kudu on it. We had 3 Ankole that were always sitting just outside our room every day and night. It was a really wonderful hotel!
