Room discounts with package

My boyfriend's sister is getting married next year in September.

She still hasn't reached out to the rep (which I told her to so that her wedding date is confirmed) but we do have a question for the forum.

Has anyone did the room discount for guests? If so how does it work (which resorts will the discounts be for? What is the price guests pay?)

It's pretty important to us since all the guests of her wedding all live in Arizona and guests would need to make reservations with 2017 pricing comes out if the room discount is not a good value.

In order to get a room discount at Walt Disney World you must set aside at least 10 room nights (not rooms) for you and your guests.

Discounts vary by time of year and day of the week, so only her sales consultant can tell her exactly what the prices are. Generally they are about 30% off at resorts that have a convention center, 15% off at the other Deluxe resorts, less than 15% off at the Moderates and less than 10% off at the Values. Usually you can block at any Disney-owned resort except Art of Animation.

Often there are much better deals available to the general public than offered by the room block, so it pays to compare.
